Chelsea
Painters Annual Art Fair
Held the first full
weekend of June every year.

The first Chelsea
Painters Art Fair featured unframed paintings hung with
clothespins on lines strung between the trees. A nearby
sign read: "Paintings, $5 each".
As the artists'
skills have matured, so has the art fair. It's now
considered the premiere fine arts fair in Southeastern Michigan.
Over the years
the fair has grown into a much-anticipated annual gathering
where friends and art lovers from far and wide reunite after a long winter
indoors. And, of course, the main topic of conversation is
the award-winning art.
